Boris Grebenshikov / BG+

Boris Grebenshchikov, one of the main icons of Russian rock music, is once again going on tour with the BG+ ensemble (a temporary substitute for Aquarium, which ceased to exist after the war in Ukraine began), presenting a new concert program with a mysterious title: √☀ (“The Square Root of the Sun”). The program includes songs from three recent BG mini-albums, Aquarium classics, and brand-new material.

Every Grebenshchikov concert is more than just a performance. It’s a journey through musical worlds, where legendary Aquarium songs — the soundtrack of several generations — meet fresh compositions filled with tragedy, poetic depth, subtle irony, and BG’s unmistakable spirit.

BG+ is a compact group of musicians who have recorded and toured with BG over the last three years. Together, they create a chamber-like, vibrant, and rich sound — stripped of pretension, and as close in spirit as possible to classic Aquarium.
